Description
The Logo L collection includes door and window handles. The final design was achieved by exaggerating some simple shapes a bit, so as to extend the initial stylization while remaining within the canon. The name itself derives from an intuition of Irvine, who, having reached the final design, noticed the resemblance to the company logo.
Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Olivari is synonymous with innovation thanks, for example, to the introduction on the market of anodized aluminum handles and the first plastic handles. In the 2000s, sustainable and high-performance finishes such as Biochrome and Superfinish were born.
James Irvine moved to Milan in 1984 after graduating in furniture design from the Royal College of Art in London. He became a consultant for Olivetti and Toshiba, until he opened his own studio in 1998. He has collaborated with the most important furniture and lighting companies dealing with product design.
