Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Rodolfo Bonetto was born as a professional jazz drummer. His passion for design, ignited by his uncle Felice Bonetto, a racing driver, led him to collaborate with important car names such as Pininfarina and Fiat. His innovative character earned him a professorship at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Ulm directly from Thomas Maldonado.
