Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1936 for the Danish Radio House (now the Royal Danish Academy of Music), the Radiohus sofa is a rare and pioneering piece of Nordic functionalism. Moving away from the conservative lines of its time, it features an elegant and futuristic design.

Established in 2023, Audo Copenhagen, born from MENU and by Lassen partnership, blends Danish design heritage with a global outlook. It embraces minimalism, featuring clean-lined furniture, earth tones and natural materials.

Design by Theodor Lauritzen
Vilhelm Theodor Lauritzen (1894-1984), a Danish architect, symbolized the modern life of the 1930s. Trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he founded his studio in 1922, active until 1969. Known for iconic Copenhagen buildings such as Radiohus, Folkets Hus (now Vega) and the former Terminal 2 of Copenhagen Airport.
