Gerd Lange, a graduate of the Offenbach University of Art and Design, founded his design studio Kapsweyer in 1961. Famous for successful chairs and the West German design influence of the 1970s and 1980s, Lange collaborated with Drabert, Thonet, DeSede and Wogg, obtaining acclaim. In 1965 he designed the Farmer folding series for Bofinger in Stuttgart, consisting of chair, table, bed and wardrobe.
