Burkhard Vogtherr was born in Germany, underwent an apprenticeship in cabinet making before his studies at the School of Industrial Design in Kassel and Wuppertal, where he successfully graduated in 1967. In 1972, he embarked on a career as a freelance designer. Operating from his design studio in Mulhouse, France, Vogtherr crafted innovative models for various clients, including Fritz Hansen, Rolf Benz, Cappellini, Davis Furniture USA, Klöber, and Arflex.
After graduating in industrial design in 1995, Jonathan Prestwich collaborated with other designers. In 2004 Jonathan set up is own studio. He design products for the next generation of users, drawing inspiration from both nature and modern technology with the aim of creating simple, sophisticated and innovative products.
