Astep's revival of the iconic Model 2050 suspension lamp, reimagined by Franco Albini and Franca Helg, pays tribute to Italy's influential lighting masters. This homage embraces their pioneering spirit and material exploration, showcasing Astep's dedication to honoring their legacy.

Astep, founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti, aims to create and curate timeless inventions that embody innovative ideas for the future. The name "Astep" signifies the journey of evolution towards the creation of better, substantial, and useful objects that continue to influence and improve our lives.

Franco Albini & Franca Helg
Franco Albini (1905-1977) was an influential Italian architect and a pioneer of Rationalism and industrial design. Collaborating with Franca Helg (1920-1989), their projects ranged from large-scale urban planning to iconic furniture and accessories, representing a cornerstone of early 20th-century design innovation.
