Virgola Door Handle Olivari

The Virgola door handle by Olivari is a tribute to the past with an eye to the contemporary focus on ergonomics. The classic L shape of the handle is hollowed out at the junction between the hub and the lever, so as to comfortably accommodate the thumb.

The Virgola handle can be fitted with a round or vertical rosette, or oval plate.

Made entirely of brass, it is available in various galvanic and PVD finishes.

Also available for windows with DK or Cremonese system.

Description

The Virgola collection includes door and window handles. Designed for the interior design of a villa on Lake Garda, Italy, the style chosen recalls the historicity of the place but with particular attention to ergonomics and functionality. The rounded corner on the hub in fact recalls the aesthetics of stone edges and classic railings.

Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Olivari is synonymous with innovation thanks, for example, to the introduction on the market of anodized aluminum handles and the first plastic handles. In the 2000s, sustainable and high-performance finishes such as Biochrome and Superfinish were born.

Originally from Tel Aviv, Ron Gilad moved to New York in 2001 and has been running his own studio for 12 years. GIlad's works combine material and aesthetic play, walking the line between abstract and functional. His unique and timeless style makes his projects timeless.
