Twist Door Handle Olivari

The Twist door handle by Olivari is characterized by the architectural twist typical of UNStudio projects, but reduced to a human scale. The underside of the lever has an increasingly thinner shape, creating perfect ergonomics with progressively smaller fingers.

The Twist handle can be fitted with a round or vertical rosette, or oval plate.

Made entirely of brass, it is available in various galvanic and PVD finishes.

Also available for windows with DK or Cremonese system.

Description

The Twist collection includes door and window handles. It is the result of intense studies on the pressure generated by the palm of the hand. The torsion that characterizes the lower part of the lever is just 3 degrees towards the door, and it is exactly what is needed to facilitate the grip and accompany the opening movement.

Battista Olivari founded the company in 1911 in Borgomanero, Italy. Olivari is synonymous with innovation thanks, for example, to the introduction on the market of anodized aluminum handles and the first plastic handles. In the 2000s, sustainable and high-performance finishes such as Biochrome and Superfinish were born.

Ben van Berkel studied architecture at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and at the Architectural Association in London. The constant and fruitful collaboration with Caroline Bos leads to the foundation of two studios and the development of innovative urban architecture projects.
