Niels Bendtsen, a Danish-Canadian designer, has a lifelong passion for design and craftsmanship. He learned from his father and honed his skills through study, instruction, and eventually designing his own pieces, including the Ribbon Chair in 1975 now in MoMA's permanent collection. In 1981, Bendtsen founded Bensen, a furniture manufacturing company that creates elegant, high-quality pieces at affordable prices. He has also designed for renowned brands like Magis, Montis, Moroso, Starbucks, and FLOS, striving for pieces that are both functional and timeless.
