Description

The 76 Surface Light collection is designed to be composed and arranged in creative groupings. The mounting plates are designed to be installed on walls or ceilings. The lamps are carefully composed to create an overall ambiance that enhances the beauty and uniqueness of each piece.

In the 76 collection a vacuum is applied to a layer of hot, clear glass containing copper mesh and white glass, the white layer is separated by the mesh itself. This results in multiple white glass tendrils remaining suspended in the inner gap. The copper mesh used within the 76 may be affected by heat and oxidization, these small oxidized edges can sometimes separate within the pendant; this is a natural characteristic, an evolution of the piece as it ages.

Bocci is a design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver and Berlin. Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position, between the fields of architecture, sculpture and design. Founded in 2005 its focal themes include the exploration of light as a medium.
