Description

The 73 Random lamps are suspended using coaxial cable and arranged into ambient clusters. 73.8 to 73.20 have non-adjustable lengths hardware. It allows the installer to attach the canopy to the ceiling before “plugging in” the individual pendants one by one. Longest and shortest lengths are determined by client in advance.

The 73 collection is produced using a process that involves blowing liquid glass into a folded vessel made of ceramic fabric with high heat resistance. The shape that emerges has a formal and textural expression that resembles fabric. This form becomes fixed and rigid as it cools. It consists in different variants such as: Random, Semi Rigid, Stem, Table lights, Armature and Tree.

Bocci is a design and manufacturing company based in Vancouver and Berlin. Omer Arbel cultivates a fluid position, between the fields of architecture, sculpture and design. Founded in 2005 its focal themes include the exploration of light as a medium.
