Mussels pendant lamp by Bomma is the main element of the collection inspired by mussel shells. The practical shape of the crystal is obtained by pressing. Available in four different shades, the two shells can be mounted open or closed. The mounting system and fittings are available in brushed gold or anthracite.

The single pendant is also available without canopy, to be mounted in constellations on multiple canopies

Description

The Mussels collection draws inspiration from nature, creating an elegant and abstract version. Each single pendant consists of two crystal shells, which enclose the light source. The surface of the glass is rippled so as to recreate, once lit, the effect of light reflected from the water.

Bomma is a company originally from a historic region of Bohemia renowned for its traditional glass manufacturing. Its handcrafted glass production blends history and scientific innovation. Their glassworks are in fact among the most advanced structures globally. Original collections for shapes, colors and materials are born, detached from conventional canons to create new ones.

Václav Mlynář is a designer and creative director of Bomma in Prague. Graduated from UMPRUM in Prague and the Royal College of Art in London, from 2011 to 2020 he managed the Studio deForm with Jakub Pollág.
