Description
The Amalfi sideboard is a hymn to the rediscovery of the Italian design style of the 50s. The creative spur does not come from wanting to re-propose forms from the past, but from wanting to detach oneself from modern aseptic and ordinary standards. The references to vintage are therefore involuntary, a consequence of creating a piece of furniture with rounded sides and hidden joints. A look at the past to reinvent the future.
The Covre company was founded in 1980 by the craftsman Giulio Covre and immediately managed to distinguish itself as a leader in leather processing, demonstrating a very high level of specialization in each production, which extends to the smallest detail. The strong point of Covre productions is the huge choice of articles, ranging from those of the highest design dedicated to the home, to the smallest of accessories. Casa Covre is the very essence of 40 years of experience of Giuglio Covre handed down to his son Matteo, combined with a passion for innovation and experimentation, always keeping the brand identity and the the individual consumer needs at heart.
Marina Bani and Marco Penati are two of the pillars of the Covre company. They have more than 20 years of collaboration with Giulio Covre, and they are both architects of international renown. Marina Bani graduated in Architecture at the Milan Polytechnic in 1988. Her skills are based on research on materials, technical solutions and innovative manufacturing processes. Marco Penati has been an important name in the field of product design since the 70s. His all-round professional skills range from conception to production, taking care of the engineering of high quality furnishing elements.
