Description

The Standard is a wooden media console that offers ample storage and cable management. It features two drawers, a centre flip-down door, and a platform base with a supporting fin that provides flexible storage. The console's weightless appearance and considerable open storage space make it well-suited for media components. It comes in a variety of wood veneers and features solid wood edging and a mitred top edge for a sleek handle detail. The side drawers have soft close hardware and the supporting fin is made of steel plate and finished in a heat-cured paint.

Bensen is a design and manufacturing company established in 1981 by Niels Bendtsen in Vancouver, Canada. Furniture is designed in Canada and made to the highest standards in Italy with a refined, minimalist style rooted in Italian craftsmanship. Bensen focuses on versatility, making its furnishings suitable for various spaces. Bensen Italia was founded in 2010 with Paolo Chiarot. Production was moved to Italy in 2018 after nearly four decades in Vancouver.

Niels Bendtsen, a Danish-Canadian designer, has a lifelong passion for design and craftsmanship. He learned from his father and honed his skills through study, instruction, and eventually designing his own pieces, including the Ribbon Chair in 1975 now in MoMA's permanent collection. In 1981, Bendtsen founded Bensen, a furniture manufacturing company that creates elegant, high-quality pieces at affordable prices. He has also designed for renowned brands like Magis, Montis, Moroso, Starbucks, and FLOS, striving for pieces that are both functional and timeless.
