The sturdy yet unadorned steel frames, powder-coated, support the distinct wide, curved plantation teak slats, which are the defining feature of the William design. The armrests, also in teak, add to the chair's elegant aesthetic. Additionally, seat cushions in various durable outdoor fabrics can be added as an option. A stool is added to the collection, to be combined with the chairs to give greater comfort.

Mark Gabbertas
was born in Yorkshire and graduated in political philosophy from Durham University. He worked in the field of advertising, then as a cabinetmaker and finally as designer-maker and was at the forefront of the rebirth of British design in the 1990s. In 2002 he founded Studio Gabbertas in West London.
