Description

Kasane, meaning "overlapping," is the latest collection by Japanese studio Nendo. Each piece transforms into a sculpture through a play of woven and overlapping elements. Inspired by stacked cups growing taller, the poufs and tables feature rhythmic, layered edges and the tactile texture of clay, embodying the essence of the design.

Gervasoni, a family business with over 140 years of history, blends informal elegance with contemporary design. Known worldwide, its signature style arises from the creative fusion of industrial and natural materials, enhanced by expert craftsmanship.

Nendo
The founder, born in 1977 in Toronto, earned an M.Arch. from Waseda University in 2002, founding his studio the same year. Named among Newsweek's "100 Most Respected Japanese," he has won multiple "Designer of the Year" awards. His versatile work spans design, interiors, and architecture.
