D.153.1 Armchair Molteni&C
The D.153.1 armchair by Molteni&C designed in 1953, is part of Gio Ponti’s private residence in Milan. Featuring a brass structure, it is upholstered in two-colored leather or “Punteggiato” fabric, which Ponti created for Rubelli in 1934. This fabric modernizes traditional velvet-weaving techniques with contemporary patterns of staggered disks in varying colors.
