Fulvio Bianconi & Paolo Venini
Fulvio Bianconi moved to Milan and works as a graphic designer and illustrator. In 1946, he went to Murano to study glassmaking. His work is marked by research and experimentation with new glassmaking techniques. His glass pieces reflect both the tradition of Murano and a modern style.
In 1921, milanese lawyer Paolo Venini, from a family of glassmakers, founded Venini with antique dealer Giacomo Cappellin. Their focus was to transform traditional glassmaking into innovative art, soon dominating exhibitions at the Milan Triennale, Venice Biennale and across Europe and the U.S.
