The LT8 was designed in 1954 for Borsani’s new company Tecno and showcased at the X Triennale in Milan. In Astep's reedition, the fluorescent tubes have been replaced with an integrated dimmable LED module. The design remains both flexible and elegant.
Astep, founded in 2014 by Alessandro Sarfatti, aims to create and curate timeless inventions that embody innovative ideas for the future. Osvaldo Borsani
(1911-1985) he studied Beaux-Arts and trained as an architect in Milan, a city thriving as an artistic hub of design and technological advancement. In 1953, Borsani founded Tecno, a company that would become a leader in the world of contract furniture, revolutionizing the industry in the 20th century with its unique designs and innovative use of technology to bring original ideas to life.
