The CH26 dining chair is another variant of a design Hans J. Wegner had made exclusively for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1950. This superb dining chair was put into production in close collaboration with the Hans J. Wegner Design Studio in 2016 in accordance with the original working drawing.

This dining chair is part of a series of iconic chairs Wegner created for Carl Hansen & Søn. Wegner created a working drawing for translating the lounge chair’s form into a dining chair, the CH26. Yet he never actually manufactured a mock-up of the armchair and it remained unknown to the public for decades. This fantastic chair finally came to life in 2016.

Hans J. Wegner
Often referred to as the master of the chair, he has created almost 500 chairs in his lifetime, many of them considered masterpieces. He is considered one of the most creative among Danish furniture designers.
