Groppi's lighting designs are especially prominent in the hospitality industry. His work has garnered significant recognition, including the Edida Award for the SAMPEI and VIS À VIS lamps, the Design Plus Award for the NEURO lamp, and several Compasso d’Oro ADI Awards, which are among the most prestigious design accolades worldwide. Notably, his SAMPEI and ORIGINE floor lamps illuminate the Quirinal Palace and the Italian Embassy to the Holy See. Since 2018, Davide Groppi has been part of the Dexelance s.p.a. group, enhancing its global market presence, and joined the Altagamma Foundation in 2019, a key promoter of Made in Italy excellence.
