Vico Duo was born from the desire to create a stackable and elegant chair at the same time. Magistretti created the first version in Fritz Hansen's design department. From there the idea evolved into several variations including slender stools.

Vico Magistretti
Vico Magistretti is a son of an artist and a pupil of Ernesto Nathan Rogers. His name is linked to numerous buildings in Milan. The celebrity that arrived with the Ciam in 1959 caused a stir with his style that combines modernist and vernacular elements. He is still remembered as a gifted interior furniture designer.
